Launched to the global press at a packed Royal Horticultural Halls in London last night, the Evija is Lotus’ s first hypercar and will cost an eye-watering £2 million.  The all-electric two-seater was proclaimed the world’s most powerful production road car.

Built of lightweight carbon-fibre and hollowed out with twin internal air tunnels, the Evija sprints to 186mph in 9 thrilling seconds and has a top speed well in excess of 200mph.

The Revolving Stage Company supplied a 5m diameter revolving stage covered in black vinyl as the platform for the new car’s launch.
